Diversification of Tourism Centers in Istanbul
The executive committee meeting of the Diversification of Tourism Centers in Istanbul, sponsored by the Istanbul Development Agency and carried out by the Turkish Touing and Automobile Authority and the Economist Association as a partner, was held at Istanbul Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate with participation of Economists’ Association’s president Dr. Oğuz Demir.
During the meeting, the information and visual materials prepared for 10 different tourism areas in Istanbul were evaluated and the draft website and the first draft studies on mobile application were evaluated. Dr. Oğuz Demir, who stated that the project results will be coming up concrete in the near future, said “Istanbul is one of the most beautiful city not only in Turkey, but also in world. Considering the rapidly increasing number of tourists in recent years, this project was initiated with the main goal of tourists not only exploring the historical peninsula, the Bosphorus line and the Taksim region but also the beauties in different regions of Istanbul. As a result of this work, tourists coming to Istanbul will be able to access 5 different printed materials, websites and mobile applications where they can explore different destinations. “
