Current Research on Syrian Entrepreneurs
At Ekonomistler Platformu, we are conducting research on entrepreneurship and how it may be used as a tool for integration. Currently, there is a very small number of studies that have been conducted on the issue of refugee entrepreneurship. Therefore, we feel that it is important that we can study the current situation in Turkey and analyze whether if the entrepreneurs are being integrated into the society. We feel that the research is important because entrepreneurship could then be promoted to not only promote self-sufficiency but also to speed up the integration process for the Syrians in Turkey.
The study will consist of 20-25 semi-structured interviews.
The study is on-going and the interviews will be conducted in the next few weeks.
