5th WATAN Conference

5th WATAN Conference was held in Istanbul, Turkey from 19-20th January 2017.  The conference was held to discuss various issues regarding Syrians in Turkey with NGOs working in Turkey. The Economists’ Association attended the Economic Integration Workshop. The current economic situation of Syrian refugees was discussed and a discussion for labor market integration was held. Muhammad Moiz presented research on Syrian Entrepreneurs in Turkey. We discussed the problems Syrian entrepreneurs face in Istanbul and made recommendations for supporting Syrian entrepreneurs in Turkey.
